Position: Website Designer
Responsibilities
- Design websites, logos, banners, web graphics
- Customize existing web templates or design new templates
Ideal characteristics
- Fluency in using the following software:
- Adobe Dreamweaver
- Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Fireworks
- Adobe Flash
- Proficiency in the following programming languages a must:
- CSS
- XHTML
- PHP
- Strong graphic design skills, artistic sense, creativity
- Experience with customizing WordPress and/or Drupal templates
- Knowledge of browser compatibility issues
- Proof of the skills by showing existing websites you have designed: URLs, or a portfolio
- Good knowledge of the Internet and how it works
- Candidates must be able to handle the demands of a fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects. They must also have excellent verbal and written skills, exceptional organizational skills, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Optional bonus
- Experience with WAP and coding web pages for mobile devices
- Relevant tertiary education and/or CIW certification
